The Nike Dunk High was released in August 1985 as a high-top basketball sneaker, having been crafted out of four earlier Nike models – the Air Force 1, the Terminator, the Air Jordan 1, and the Legend.

In 1982 Nike changed the game and introduced the Nike air cushioning basketball with the Air Force One. The name was inspired by the President of the United States' preferred form of transportation. Designed by Bruce Kilgore, the Air Force one was the first-ever basketball shoe to feature a Nike air cushioning.

1990 was the year Tinker Hatfield and Nike graced the world with one of their most recognizable creations – the Nike Air Max 90. Originally named the Air Max III, the Air Max 90 was an evolution of the iconic Air Max 1.

A sneaker of subtle branding and striking form; the Sergio Lozano designed Air Max 95 was created with the human anatomy in mind (a fun fact which seems simultaneously cool and slightly gross)
